ŌHAU School is a full primary school, situated 6km from Levin and rests at the foothills of the Tararua Ranges. At ŌHAU School our students' needs are at the forefront of all the teaching and learning decisions we make, explicitly teaching PR1ME Math and Structured Literacy.

We acknowledge the culture and identity of all our learners, whānau and teachers, and believe these principles honour all our students to achieve to their full potential.

Calling for Year 3&4 Basketball players - urgent request

Kia ora koutou,

Our Year 3&4 Basketball team urgently needs more players!

If you have not yet registered your child and they are keen to play, please complete the online registration form by 5pm on Thursday 10th April.

At this stage our other teams have enough players. Contact hperigo@ohau.school.nz if you have any questions.

LBA Primary School League – Term 2, 2025

Proposed Days & Times:
Mondays, 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
From 5 May to 30 June 2025


Please note: These dates and times are approximate and subject to confirmation.

Venue:
Horowhenua Events Centre
33 Victoria Street, Levin

Grades & Teams:

Year 7–8: A & B Grade Mixed Teams, Girls Only Grade
Year 5–6: A & B Grade Mixed Teams
Year 3–4: One Mixed Grade


Format & Rules:
Games will follow the Kiwi Hoops format appropriate for each grade. Based on last year's participation:

Year 7–8: 16 teams – 4 pools of 4, A/B Divisions
Year 5–6: 16 teams – 4 pools of 4, A/B Divisions
Year 3–4: 10 teams – Round robin format, followed by finals


Registration:
If your child is interested in playing, please complete the online registration form below.

One registration per child.
Deadline: 14 April 2025 – No late registrations will be accepted.

Parent Help Required:
To run this competition successfully, we rely on parent support for coaching, managing (score bench), and refereeing. Unfortunately, teams cannot be entered without this support.

Cost:
There will be a player fee set by the organisers. Once confirmed, this cost will be charged via MyKindo.

Kiwi Competitions for Year 5-8 Students

Kia ora whānau,

The University of Canterbury is offering your child the opportunity to participate in the KIWI English, Mathematics and Science competitions. 

The competitions are open to all Year 5-8 students in English, Mathematics and Science. Students can enter in one or more subjects. 

There is a cost of $10.00 per subject entry, payable to the school via MyKindo. 

Please complete one entry per child.
